Data Distribution

The National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping is maintaining and continuously updating the NCALM Data Tracking Center, which provides the status of all NCALM projects, such as the location (Google Maps) and present state (approved, scheduled, flown, processed, delivered, or embargo status) of the projects.

NCALM also supports the NCALM Data Distribution Center, which provides public access to lidar data from older NCALM projects through a Google Earth interface. The interface also offers on-the-fly, multi-resolution, shaded relief overlays for the lidar DEMs that can be used to preview data and identify the extents of the datasets.

When a PI’s period of sole access to the data expires, NCALM will release the data through OpenTopography.
