NCALM Invites Graduate Students to Submit 2022 Seed Proposals

2022 Seed Proposal Period: October 10, 2022–January 13, 2023

The National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping invites proposals from graduate student PIs seeking airborne lidar data for use in research toward an M.S. or Ph.D. degree. NCALM maps up to seven projects each year for graduate students who desire lidar data. Seed Proposal Grants are supported by the National Science Foundation.

See NCALM's Seed Proposals and Format Guidelines pages for background information and instructions on submitting a proposal. The submission period is Monday, October 10, 2022–Friday, January 13, 2023. Read the FAQ page or contact ncalm [at] egr.uh.edu for more information.

This year NCALM will also consider conducting a limited number of seed surveys in Alaska (to be flown in Summer 2023). These proposals’ locations must be within a 100-mile radius of Anchorage or Fairbanks.
